At Home National Bank, we know how important personal privacy
is to you. Because of our interest in protecting your privacy,
we have adopted the following privacy policy, continuing our commitment
to you, our valued customer:
Recognition of Your Expectation
of Privacy
We recognize that you expect privacy and security for
your personal and financial
affairs. We understand the need to safeguard our sensitive information
about you that you have entrusted to us within our affiliated family
of banks and companies. We maintain standards and procedures designed
to prevent misuse of this information.
Our Collection, Retention,
and Use of Information about You
We collect, retain, and use information
about you only where we
reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or
provide products, services, and other opportunities to you. We
collect and retain information about you only for specific business
purposes - and we will tell you why we are collecting and retaining
it upon your request. We use information to protect and administer
your records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws
and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and
services; and to understand your financial needs so that we can
provide you with quality products and superior service. We may
collect "nonpublic personal information" about you from
the following sources: information we receive from you on applications
or other loan and account forms; information about your transactions
with us, our affiliates or others; and information we receive from
third parties such as credit bureaus. We may disclose the above
information we collect to companies that perform marketing services
on our behalf or to other institutions with which we have joint
marketing agreements. "Nonpublic personal information" is
nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with
providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic
personal information includes information regarding your account
balance, payment history, and overdraft history.
Our Maintenance
of Accurate Information
Keeping your account accurate and up
to date is very important. If you ever find that
your account information is incomplete, inaccurate or not current,
please call or write to us at the telephone number or address
listed on your account statement. We will correct any erroneous
information
as quickly as possible.
Security
We take steps to safeguard
customer information
We restrict access to your personal and
account information to
those
employees who need to know that information to provide products
or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural
safeguards to comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic
personal information.
Restrictions on Disclosing Information
to Parties Outside Our Affiliated Banks and Companies
We do
not reveal specific
nonpublic
personal information about your accounts or other personally
identifiable data to parties outside our affiliated banks
and companies for
their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize
it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction
initiated by you; (3) the information is provided to a reputable
credit bureau or similar information reporting agency; or
(4) the disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required.
We
do not
provide account or personal information to non- Home National
Bank companies for the purpose of independent telemarketing
or direct
mail marketing of any non-financial products or services
of
those companies. If you decide to close your account(s) or
become an
inactive customer, we will continue to adhere to the privacy
policies and practices described in this notice.
Maintaining
Your Privacy in Business Relationships with Parties Outside Our
Affiliated Banks and Companies
Sometimes
it is necessary
to provide personally identifiable information about you
to a party outside our affiliated banks and companies,
such as
to
a vendor
or service company that we hire to prepare your account
statements or to provide support or services for one or more of
our
products. These vendors and service companies agree to
safeguard our
confidential information about you and your products and
services with us
and must abide by applicable law.
Disclosing Our Privacy

We value your relationship. We want you to
understand how we use the
information you provide

to all consumer customers, we reserve the right to change this
policy, along with
its related
provisions,
at any time.
The provisions
and explanations in this Use of Information section apply only
to individuals. These provisions
and explanations supersede all previous notices
or statements
with respect
to the subject
matter described in this Use of Information section.

Use and Sharing
of Information within Our Affiliated Family of Banks and Companies
To
provide you with superior service and inform you of product opportunities
and for other business
purposes, the banks
and companies affiliated with Home National Bank
share information about you
and your products and services among themselves.
(See Questions and Answers #1 and #2 below).
Use
and Sharing of Information Outside Our Affiliated Family of Banks
and Companies
Other than under the limited exceptions explained
in this policy, our practice is to not share
confidential customer
information
outside our affiliated family of banks and
companies. You do not need to request this confidentiality,
as
it is our
standard
practice.
The limited exceptions under which
we share confidential customer information with parties
outside our
affiliated family of banks
and companies are described in the answer
to Question #3 below.
One of the main reasons we gather information
about you is to protect you. We need to be able to identify
you and your products and services to prevent access to personal
and financial information by unauthorized persons.
We also gather information to help us understand your financial
needs and provide you with quality products and services. For
example, if we know you own your own home, we know a home equity
loan with possible tax benefits, may be a better alternative
than an installment loan to finance your next purchase.
In some cases, we also gather information to help us design
or improve our products and services. For example, information
obtained from customers can tell us whether to develop a new
type of home mortgage or a checking account. This type of information
enables us to identify the needs of customers and provide services
to meet those needs.
Finally, we also gather information to comply with laws and
regulations that govern the financial services industries.
For example, federal regulations require that we obtain a social
security number or tax identification number for many types
of accounts, such as bank deposit accounts that pay interest. |

Back to Questions |

|
Although we are committed to protecting our
confidential information about you and your products and
services with us, occasionally it is necessary to provide
some of this information to parties outside our affiliated
banks and companies.
We are required, for example, to share information about
you and your products and services with us with parties named
in a lawsuit or administrative action when we are served
with a subpoena or court order. We are also required to share
information with federal or state regulatory authorities,
such as banking examiners or the Internal Revenue Service,
as authorized by federal or state law. Consistent with the
practice of other banks and financial services companies,
we also share certain information about you and your products
and services with us with reputable credit reporting agencies
as authorized by federal law and with others who may receive
certain information from us under particular circumstances,
but only as lawfully permitted or required.
We also sometimes contract with outside agents or service
providers to prepare your account statements, enter or calculate
transactions and balances, or provide other materials or
services on our behalf. These agents, service providers,
and third party product providers agree to safeguard our
information about you and your products and services with
us and must abide by applicable law.
We also occasionally decide to sell business assets or a
business line, such as mortgage servicing rights. In these
cases, we may transfer to the purchaser the related customer
information. |

Like other financial services organizations,
our affiliated banks and companies sometimes purchase mailing
or other lists from outside agencies or companies that are
in the business of compiling lists for purchase by others
for their independent use. These lists are compiled by such
agencies and companies primarily from public sources of information
and may be used for product solicitation.
